Sales Assistant

As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high quality customer service and inviting guests to discover the enchanting beauty of Tromsø and the mesmerizing Northern Lights.

If you have strong social skills, a passion for nature and outdoor experiences, this position is for you!

This position involves a lot of communication, both between yourself and the guests, and within the company itself to ensure smooth transitions and operation of tours. You are the voice of the company, ensuring potential guests are well prepared for embarking on their dream journey.

Our Sales Assistants should be able to handle a fast paced work environment where multitasking is common and learning and improvement is key.

Seasonal full-time or part-time. From September 2024 - April 2025.

Responsibility

Present and promote a variety of captivating tours offered by Chasing Lights and our partners
Address visitor inquiries regarding tours, Tromsø, and the Northern Lights. Providing accurate and engaging information and ensuring a memorable stay in Tromsø
Efficiently handle payment processing and refunds, maintaining accuracy and transparency
Promptly respond to email and live chat queries and ensure attentive, high-quality service
Assist with managing online bookings and cancellations, affording seamless booking processes for our guests
Cultivate and nurture positive relationships with both guests and partner entities, including hotels and other collaborating companies

Requirements

Exceptional communication skills, characterized by friendliness, helpfulness, and sociability
Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential, while a conversational level in Norwegian is highly advantageous. Additional proficiency in Spanish, German, Italian, or French will be considered a valuable asset
Keen attention to detail, enabling accurate execution of procedures and tasks
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Genuine enthusiasm for Tromsø, the Northern Lights, and the Arctic region
